Pure North Window Cleaning Terms & Conditions

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Last updated: 15 October 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by Pure North Window Cleaning Ltd(company number 17380514), referred to as “Pure North”, “we”, “us” or “our”. They explain our services, pricing, scheduling, payment arrangements and customer responsibilities. By accepting a quote and placing a booking, you agree to these terms, subject to your statutory rights.

1. Our Services

1.1. We provide external window cleaning and other exterior cleaning services in Leeds and surrounding areas.

1.2. A standard window clean includes accessible external windows, frames, sills and external doors within the scope of the agreed quote.

1.3. Internal window cleaning, conservatory roofs, gutters, solar panels, fascias and soffits are excluded unless specifically quoted and agreed.

1.4. One-off additional services are not included in future regular cleans unless expressly agreed.

2. Quotes and Prices

2.1. Our online quote is based on the property details and service selections you provide. Please ensure this information is accurate.

2.2. If the property, access arrangements or required work differ materially from the information supplied, we may propose a revised price before undertaking the affected work. You may decline the revised price.

2.3. We may review regular cleaning prices to reflect operating costs or changes in service requirements. We will give at least 28 days’ notice before a price increase takes effect. You may cancel future cleans rather than accept the new price, subject to any separately agreed and lawful promotional conditions.

2.4. Any introductory or promotional price applies only for the period and under the conditions clearly stated when the offer is made.

3. Cleaning Schedules

3.1. We offer different cleaning frequencies as agreed at booking. A four-weekly service normally involves 13 visits over 52 weeks, rather than 12 calendar-monthly visits.

3.2. Scheduled dates and arrival times are estimates unless expressly confirmed as fixed. They may change due to weather, operational requirements, holidays, access or safety considerations.

3.3. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain the agreed frequency and communicate significant changes where practicable.

3.4. Once your quote has been accepted and your Direct Debit mandate has been set up, your booking is confirmed, subject to any separately communicated first-visit arrangements. Setting up a mandate does not itself authorise a charge before a service is provided.

4. Property Access and Customer Responsibilities

4.1. You must provide safe, reasonable access to the areas included in your quote, including unlocking gates, clearing access routes, securing pets and removing avoidable obstructions.

4.2. We will not enter locked buildings, garages or other secure spaces without permission. We may refuse or postpone work where access is unsafe.

4.3. If you book a full-property clean but rear or side access is unavailable when we attend, we may clean the accessible areas. The normal quoted price may still be payable where it fairly reflects the work completed and reasonable costs caused by the access restriction, including time and travel already committed. We will consider the work not completed, costs saved and whether the visit could reasonably have been rearranged. We will not impose an unfair or disproportionate charge for work not carried out.

4.4. Please notify us as early as possible if you know access will be unavailable.

5. Weather and Safety

5.1. Cleaning may proceed in light rain where it is safe and we can deliver an appropriate standard of service.

5.2. We may reschedule work due to severe weather, high winds, ice, unsafe conditions or other circumstances affecting safe delivery.

5.3. Where we postpone a visit, we will make reasonable efforts to rearrange it. We will not charge for services we cancel and do not perform.

6. First Cleans and Additional Work

6.1. Initial cleans and exceptionally dirty properties may require more time or specialist treatment than regular maintenance cleans.

6.2. Paint, cement, adhesive, silicone, heavy contamination or similar deposits are not necessarily included in a standard clean.

6.3. We will explain any proposed additional charges and obtain your agreement before carrying out additional chargeable work. If you decline, we may complete the standard work where practical or agree another arrangement.

7. Payments and Direct Debit

7.1. Regular services are normally paid by GoCardless Direct Debit unless another method is agreed.

7.2. We initiate payment collection only after the relevant service is completed. Funds may leave your account later, subject to payment processing times and applicable advance notices.

7.3. Direct Debit payments are subject to the Direct Debit Guarantee and applicable GoCardless terms. You may cancel a Direct Debit instruction through your bank, but this does not remove liability for services already supplied.

7.4. If payment fails or remains outstanding, we may contact you to arrange payment and suspend future visits while the issue is resolved.

7.5. We may cancel or discontinue a Direct Debit arrangement or end future services for a legitimate reason, with reasonable notice where practicable. Amounts properly owed for completed work remain payable.

8. Cancellations and Missed Appointments

8.1. Unless you have separately accepted specific promotional conditions, there is no minimum number of regular cleans. You may cancel future regular services by contacting us.

8.2. We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice before cancelling or rearranging a scheduled visit.

8.3. Where a visit is cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, we may seek a fair and reasonable amount for losses directly caused by the late cancellation that we could not reasonably avoid. Any charge will account for saved costs, whether other work could be scheduled, and the circumstances. It will not automatically equal the full clean price.

8.4. A 48-hour notice request does not override any applicable statutory cooling-off right. We will not charge a late cancellation fee where we cancel the visit ourselves.

8.5. We may end or suspend future visits for legitimate reasons, including repeated failed access, non-payment, unsafe conditions or abusive behaviour, giving reasonable notice where practicable.

9. Promotional Offers and Commitments

9.1. Some promotional offers may require a stated minimum number of cleans. Such a commitment applies only if it was clearly disclosed and expressly accepted before booking, including the number of visits, price and any fair consequences of early cancellation.

9.2. If you cancel before completing an agreed promotional commitment, we may recover only a reasonable, proportionate amount that is clearly set out in the accepted offer and permitted by law. We will not impose an excessive penalty or retrospectively invent charges.

9.3. Any applicable statutory cancellation rights take priority over promotional conditions.

10. Service Quality and Complaints

10.1. We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill.

10.2. If you have a concern, please tell us as soon as reasonably possible, preferably within 48 hours of the clean, so we can investigate promptly.

10.3. We may request photographs or further details and, where appropriate, return to put unsatisfactory work right.

10.4. The 48-hour request does not remove or limit your statutory rights if you report a problem later.

11. Property Condition and Damage

11.1. Please tell us about known fragile, loose, damaged or defective glazing, seals, frames, fixtures or access areas before work begins.

11.2. We will take reasonable care of your property. We are not responsible for pre-existing defects or deterioration unless our failure to exercise reasonable care and skill causes or worsens damage.

11.3. We will investigate reports of damage and meet any legal responsibility arising from our work.

11.4. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Online Bookings and Consumer Cancellation Rights

12.1. If you book online or otherwise enter into an eligible distance contract, you will generally have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days after the contract is made, subject to applicable exceptions.

12.2. You may exercise that right by giving us a clear cancellation statement using the contact details below. We will provide legally required cancellation information and a cancellation form through the booking process or another durable medium.

12.3. If you expressly request that we begin providing services during the 14-day cancellation period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services supplied before you cancel, where the legal requirements for doing so have been met.

12.4. Any loss of a statutory cancellation right following full performance applies only where the law permits it and the required express request and acknowledgement have been obtained.

12.5. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer law.

13. Changes to These Terms

13.1. We may update these terms for future bookings or to reflect legal and operational changes.

13.2. Where a material change affects an existing ongoing arrangement, we will provide reasonable advance notice and explain any applicable right to end future services.

13.3. Changes will not retrospectively alter the agreed terms of work already completed.
